Frank Perenboom
Frank studied classical ballet and worked with several dance companies in his native Holland. While working on his masters thesis he was involved in a dance research project that kindled a lasting interest in the reconstruction of early dance techniques and choreographies, as a result of which he is nowadays highly regarded as an expert on early dance and as an active performer of it. He was a founding member of the Berlin-based European Early Dance Company and is co-director of Contretemps Early Music and Dance London. He has performed with many distinguished ensembles, including The New London Consort, Tragicomedia, The Harp Consort, Die Wiener Akademie fuer Alte Musik and Freiburger Barock
